LITTLE FOREST FOLK HOLIDAYS
It has long been a dream of ours to run Little Forest Folk Holidays; to take some of our incredibly talented educators from our nurseries and create the dream holiday opportunity for our families.
We are delighted to announce our very first holiday in June 2018! We have partnered with Villa Pia, a gorgeous family-friendly, rambling farmhouse, with incredibly delicious food, a range of relaxing & exciting activities, and 5 acres of beautiful grounds to explore. Located in the Medieval town of Lippiano and set against the breath-taking back drop of Tuscany, this 15th century country Manor House is a spectacular family destination.
Our Little Forest Folk Holiday will commence from 9th to 16th June 2018 (7 nights)

The plan is to create the dream holiday experience…..so how do we do that? By making life as easy as possible for parents and as fun as possible for children!
A typical day at Villa Pia will begin with (either) Mum or Dad waking up with the children (must be 2 or over), then whoever has drawn the short straw walking the children downstairs to where our fabulous Little Forest Folk educators will be waiting, drop the children off for a morning of forest fun and exploration…and GO BACK TO BED until 11am!
Yes, that’s right, a holiday where you can get a lie-in! Our amazing educators will give the children their breakfast and then play outdoors in the grounds of Villa Pia, creating the usual mud, sticks and stones fun that is part of Little Forest Folk, whilst you relax into your holiday.
To keep life simple, the holiday will be all-inclusive. So all meals and drinks (from the help yourself 24 hour bar) will be taken care of. There are no extras to pay for the forest mornings, these are included within your accommodation costs.
A typical day will include:
Breakfast & forest fun [for ages 2 and over] from 7am-11am
Adult breakfast served from 8am-10am
Lunch at 12pm
Afternoon tea available in the kitchen at 2.30pm-3pm
Children’s dinner at 5pm and Adults dinner at 8pm
Typical meals will include:
Breakfast - continental style, self serve
Lunch – large and varied buffet, self serve
Afternoon tea – cakes and biscuits, self serve
Children’s dinner – large and varied buffet, self serve
Adults dinner – table service, 4 courses
[Fruit and yoghurts always available / Drinks – beer, wine, spirits, coffee, tea, water, juices all freely available from the bar]
The Villa Pia staff have the day off on Thursdays, so an optional alternative excursion has been arranged (more information below).
Yoga, beauty treatments and massages in addition to children’s and adult cookery classes.
Extra's will have an additional charge. Costs of which will be confirmed in early 2018.
Group Exploration: Thursday
On Thursdays when the staff at Villa Pia have a day off, you are welcome to stay at the Villa all day relaxing. Help yourself to snacks and drinks at the bar, but please note that lunch and dinner are not provided (although breakfast is). If you have a car, feel free to explore the local area and find local restaurants to sample. On foot, it’s a 5 minute walk to Lippiano village where there is a small bar selling local pasta, tempting ice creams treats, and panini style foods.
There is also the option to join a group exploration day. This will involve a coach transfer to a local olive oil mill where we will learn more about how olive oil is traditionally produced in the area and do some tasting. A picnic lunch will be provided, before returning back to Villa Pia where dinner will be provided for those who have joined our day out.
The cost for our Thursday exploration day is £120 per adult and £25 per child. This includes transport, the exploration, picnic lunch and then dinner (with wine!) back at Villa Pia. We require a minimum number of families [10 adults, 6 children] in order to run this excursion and have a maximum number of available spaces.
All places are offered on a first come first served basis. We suggest booking in advance, as places for this will be limited.

Are the pools heated?
Yes, with the baby pool being a few degrees warmer than the main pool.
Are there any toys / play equipment at the Villa?
There is an indoor playroom on the ground floor of the main house with various books and toys. There is also an outdoor younger play area in the main courtyard with little tikes playhouses, cars, seesaws and other ‘soft play’ style play items. There is a soft play centre in a room beneath the old barn!
There is also a small park with a swing, slide and roundabout near the tennis courts and 2 trampolines (1 at the swimming pool and 1 in the main garden).
Are there babysitting opportunities if we’d like to go out for the day or go out for dinner?
These would need to be arranged on a first come first served basis, with payment made in cash directly to the educators available for babysitting.
