Wimbledon - Bug Hotel Making!

Our Week in the Forest

This week the children at Little Forest Folk Wimbledon have been rescuing a bear in need! Each day we had a new mission to help the bear who had been injured in the forest. Everything from taking him to a&e, to helping him with his temperature and creating medicine for him. We read books relating to doctors and nurses, looking at all the different jobs that there are to help people. The children also visited the bear and took him to the hospital garden where they also made some food for him to enjoy. At the end of the week the bear was back to good health and enjoying the forest once again!

We also did some more tool work this week, making more habitats for bugs and adding them to the bug hotel. The children whittled sticks and placed them in tins to create a little house for the insects to climb in and out of. It was great to see the children testing their whittling skills and also seeing our new children taking part too.

As well as this, there has also been time to create a dragon's den, a moat for a castle and a café for everyone to visit. It’s been a busy week with lots of fun and exciting games!
