Fulham - A Fun Packed Holiday Camp Week For All

What a great week it’s been this week, sharing our camp with the holiday campers. An interactive game of red light, green light has been a hit with the children especially on our travels into camp each morning, encouraging all the children to be able to listen and follow the instructions of the game and being able to stop and start when the correct colour is said.

At the beginning of the week, we at the Fulham Forest created some amazing potions at our fun potion station. We used leaves, grass, mud and different coloured water to make some magic potions by mixing and stirring, having great fun.

We have also enjoyed using the bow saw this week to saw up some wood whilst remembering that safety comes first! So not forgetting to speak about and go over the rules for using the bow saw to ensure everyone stayed safe.

We also celebrated Valentine's Day in the forest! Over in our creative area, we painted some love hearts and got creative by sticking and gluing some small little cut-out hearts onto our big hearts to take home.

We repeated a great experiment this week that all our children really enjoy! We spent the morning making and creating a volcano from scratch with Donna and in the afternoon, we carried out the experiment with vinegar and bicarbonate of soda mixing them together with food colouring causing a reaction which made our volcano erupt which was popular all round.

Towards the end of the week, we then attempted this again slightly adapting it this time mixing vinegar and bicarbonate of soda to inflate our balloon – what a great, fun-packed holiday camp it’s been!
