Morden - End of summer term!

Hello everyone, happy weekend & end of summer term!

This week at Little Forest Folk Morden has been such a fun one, we have been relishing in all the remaining time with some of our leavers and our sessional children before they head off for the rest of the summer. ☀️

One of our favourite activities this week was Moth painting. Over the last couple weeks our friends have spotted lots of “jersey tiger moths” resting on leaves within the boundaries. These have been so lovely to spot due to their beautiful coloured wings. This has inspired us to make our very own, the children have done a fantastic job looking at the reference pictures and coping the patterns from the wings.

Another activity which was a lot of fun was feet painting! This was based on inspiration taken from last week but we wanted it to be a little more messy! Everyone got to take off their welly boots & trainers and swap them out for paint covered feet. Running up and down the paper, their collaborative foot artwork came out incredibly cool! ✨

The rain this week has been really appreciated as well, we made the most of all the rain water which we’ve collected and transferred it to our “project pond”. We also spent one afternoon doing a splash zone, using the water from the tarps and hitting it up in the air to splash back down on us. This was tremendous fun & our little ones had the best time! 🌧️

We definitely wrapped this term up the right way and we are so excited to welcome all our holiday campers back next week!

Have a fantastic weekend everybody! ✨
