Our Week in the Forest!
After another fabulous week on Wimbledon Common, now is a great time to think about all the fun adventures we have been on!
The week started with a forest rock band! One of our holiday camp children took a liking to our ukulele, so in turn, he recruited some buddies to play instruments alongside him. Before we knew it, we had 8 children playing music in the forest! Some played to the beat and some didn’t, but all had a great time!
On Tuesday, Jordan created a monkey-bar style rope activity, which the holiday camp children loved! They were able to swing off the ropes and test their strength to see how long they could hold themselves up!
This week we pulled up some more of our homegrown crops, as our carrots and tomatoes were ready for harvest. Our mini-gardeners were delighted at the fact that we could wash our own veg before eating it - the tomatoes were deliciously sweet!
We have enjoyed seeing some returning familiar faces for holiday camp this week, we always love hearing all the cool things they’ve been learning about at big school!
On Thursday, we said goodbye to the fantastic Laura who has been a big part of our team here at Wimbledon Village! We wish her well for the future!
Have a great weekend everyone! Wwe look forward to the sun greeting us next week!
