We’ve been bursting with excitement and now that it’s the Queen’s birthday and the official announcement day, we are absolutely delighted to finally share with you the news that Little Forest Folk has been given the royal seal of approval.
Following our being selected by Tatler as being one of the finest nurseries in the nation last month, we are now delighted to share with you an article written about Little Forest Folk by a journalist who visited us in our Wimbledon setting a few weeks ago.
Well, this weekend was the long awaited Nursery World Awards! It was a fabulous event and we were delighted to be recognised in such a large industry such as the early years to be one of the industry leaders.
‘Wouldn’t we all secretly like to be Little Forest Folk?' We are incredibly excited and proud to be included once again in the prestigious annual Tatler Nurseries Guide.
We started this week with a distinctive pirate feel. All around Fulham Palace children were climbing the riggings, sailing ships, walking the plank and of course chasing and catching baddie pirates!
What a crazy week of weather! Monday started with the most brilliant sunshine so we had an adventure walk into the forest to make the most of the glorious weather.
This week has seen the children become excited by minibeast exploration, incredible volcano experiments and the beginnings of designing our very own vegetable garden!
This week has been extremely exciting for children, educators and parents alike! It’s Stay and Play week, meaning that some parents have had the opportunity to spend some lovely time with their children in the forest.

This week the children have enjoyed the relative warmth of the beginning of spring. It enabled the children to engage in some more focussed fine motor activities.
We have said goodbye to the snow and welcomed some slightly warmer weather. The environment has changed dramatically in one week and we are now starting to see the first signs that spring is on its way.
The sun has returned this week, as have some of our more normal activities and although the snow was fun, everyone was glad to have the forest back to how they know and love it.
Sadly, the beautiful snowy landscapes have melted away into our memories for another year. The warmer weather, however, has brought with it a new surge of excitement from the children.
After the last newsletter’s successful prediction of warmer weather in the near future… this week we welcomed the coldest week of the year, and what an exciting week full of snow and ice it has been!
An absolutely magical week at Little Forest Folk Chiswick has come to an end. The cold conditions and snow have been perfect for our little ones to have adventures, play games, keep active and learn about the world around us.
