Linn supported the children to make banana chocolate cake that was also gluten free and vegan. The children enjoyed working in small groups to measure ingredients, mash bananas and observe the changes that occurred in the mixing bowl as the ingredients were stirred together.

Through the sporadic rain showers and intermittent sunny skies, the children in the forest this week have been busy filling the space with colour.

Every week our forest starts to look a little different as everything prepares for the winter months that await. Squirrels become braver in their search for a dropped crumb as they start to stockpile in order to get through hibernation, our children can see higher into the plane tree as her crown begins to drop and parakeets which hide within her are exposed for all to see.
