We’ve been bursting with excitement and now that it’s the Queen’s birthday and the official announcement day, we are absolutely delighted to finally share with you the news that Little Forest Folk has been given the royal seal of approval.

Well, this weekend was the long awaited Nursery World Awards! It was a fabulous event and we were delighted to be recognised in such a large industry such as the early years to be one of the industry leaders.
‘Wouldn’t we all secretly like to be Little Forest Folk?' We are incredibly excited and proud to be included once again in the prestigious annual Tatler Nurseries Guide.
“Look what I did!”, “Can I mix in this?”, “What happens if…?” – These are the sounds of the children enjoying lots of investigation and forest based experiments this week.
Today is my son’s last day at Little Forest Folk. He will be returning for holiday camps but today is his last official day as a daily member of the nursery community.
This week the children have explored lots of new and innovative ideas. They have taken their creativity to new heights using their collective knowledge, experience and skills to achieve shared goals!
This week has been slightly quieter so we thought we would attempt something a little different, a week without any resources, other than those provided by the forest!! No mud kitchen, no swings, no ropes, no book bag, no buckets.
We’ve had another glorious week in the forest and although we will be sad to say goodbye to our holiday campers, we look forward to being able to welcome back to the forest, friends who have been gone for six weeks.
On Tuesday morning, the forest awoke from a Bank Holiday weekend to the sound of our Little Forest Folk-ers, full of energy and curiosity as they ran towards the meadow when they suddenly noticed something unusual.
This week the children have been playing with a new level of freedom, friendship and fun. There has been an abundance of independence, creativity and imagination spreading around the children like wildfire.
In the forest this week, the children have been busy engaging in a range of activities. We had a fabulous obstacle course created by Rachel which would give any army training course a run for its money.
Our penultimate week of holiday camp has been a great one and it makes us so happy to hear how much some of our campers have enjoyed their time with us.
If you were a pirate on the high sea, where would you go? What would you do? The pirates of Little Forest Folk Wimbledon were not far into their adventure this week when their ship ran into a storm and began to sink.
We have had a wild week in the forest! On Monday in Paradise, the children got the opportunity to build the structure of a fire, set it ablaze, and enjoy the heat it provided.
What do Michelangelo, da Vinci, Botticelli and the Little Forest Folk of Wimbledon have in common? They are all rather skilled in the alchemy of making paint.
What a week we have had in the forest. The children have continued to welcome new faces and have been keen to show them all their favourite places to play in our two settings.
