This week has really thrown us into an autumnal feeling with so many beautiful changes in the colours we are finding in the forest. The wind has picked up to blow the fallen leaves around and the squirrels are busy all around us gathering all the sweet chestnuts. 

We have enjoyed spending time in different parts of Chiswick House and Gardens this week. We started off in the meadow across the pond where the children have enjoyed a new space to role play in.

This week in the forest we have been enjoying lots of activities to do with literacy. The book corner has been filled with children wanting to read stories to their friends, with educators and even making up their own stories using the helicopter book.

This week the children have been exploring poetry and learning to rhyme. This has been incorporated into our story scribing and helicopter story sessions led by the fabulous Amie!
