We’ve been bursting with excitement and now that it’s the Queen’s birthday and the official announcement day, we are absolutely delighted to finally share with you the news that Little Forest Folk has been given the royal seal of approval.

Well, this weekend was the long awaited Nursery World Awards! It was a fabulous event and we were delighted to be recognised in such a large industry such as the early years to be one of the industry leaders.
‘Wouldn’t we all secretly like to be Little Forest Folk?' We are incredibly excited and proud to be included once again in the prestigious annual Tatler Nurseries Guide.
This week in the forest we have finally seen the start of winter! With temperatures dipping below freezing on some mornings we were treated to some wonderful frosts, icy puddles, layers of mist and even a light dusting of snow!
Winter is definitely in full swing this week and we have been quick to point out the frost on the plants! We have all been excited to go on adventure walks to the pond where the water has frozen over.
Our beautiful orange fox has become a regular sighting in the forest. We saw her again this week and some of the children asked to go on an adventure to track her to where she was living.
Walking into the forest this week has been magical and as the children stopped at various points to count heads, a Robin flew down from the tree branches onto the brambles and the floor.
Having spent the beginning of the week exploring our new nursery location in Fulham Palace Gardens the children have finally decided upon how they wanted it to look.
It was so lovely to welcome our Little Forest Folk-ers back after the Christmas break and hear all the wonderful things they have done, places they have visited and presents they have received from Father Christmas.
Happy New Year Little Forest Folk-ers! What a wonderful break we all had but ‘by golly’ how excited we all were to get back to the forest! We have only had a short week of just two days but they have certainly been action packed!
January has arrived and with it comes a new year and crisp mornings, bringing an opportunity for adventure outside and play. Our forest is once again alive with the sounds of children after it’s quiet Christmas slumber.
