We’ve been bursting with excitement and now that it’s the Queen’s birthday and the official announcement day, we are absolutely delighted to finally share with you the news that Little Forest Folk has been given the royal seal of approval.

Well, this weekend was the long awaited Nursery World Awards! It was a fabulous event and we were delighted to be recognised in such a large industry such as the early years to be one of the industry leaders.

This week has been an exciting blend of activities for our children with many of them finding inspiration from the things they encounter in their environment and incorporating it into their play.
The clouds and rain haven’t been a dampener on the spirits of our Little Forest Folk-ers this week and we’ve had lots of fun making the most out of the wet weather and mud!
After the ice and frost of last week, this week we have been enjoying the sunshine warming our faces and catching on the first flowers opening around the gardens.
We’ve had sunshine, rain and wind with us in the forest this week! We’ve been getting creative with our new space at the scout hut, making huge art works with chalk along the tarmac!
Winter has finally arrived in the forest! We have experienced some truly beautiful mornings with frost shrouding every blade of grass in glittering ice and the children observing the “misty fog” all around us as well.
