Through the sporadic rain showers and intermittent sunny skies, the children in the forest this week have been busy filling the space with colour.

Every week our forest starts to look a little different as everything prepares for the winter months that await. Squirrels become braver in their search for a dropped crumb as they start to stockpile in order to get through hibernation, our children can see higher into the plane tree as her crown begins to drop and parakeets which hide within her are exposed for all to see.

Ever so slightly, the weather this week has been changing. Children have been noticing a colder temperature in the air towards the end of the week and we were all so happy to have big puddles to splash in after a lovely downpour.

Making and establishing new relationships was our major theme this week and the children went about it in many ways. They shared chase games and hide and seek were very popular! It was so lovely to see the whole group join in.
