What a wonderful week we’ve had in the forest!

The warming yellow glow of sunlight enabled different activities this week and as the puddles began to dry around us, children on Green team found that they were missing a vital ingredient for muddy potions, cakes, and construction; water!

When the Baltic weather from the week before finally departed, the much milder albeit rainier days were welcomed back with open arms as we were back to where we belonged... outside! The children were happy, the educators were excited, and we had many learning opportunities this week!

This week we’ve had “snow globe” snow, “sideways” snow and “fluffy” snow throughout the days here, which has felt rather exciting and magical! Thick ice had formed in various receptacles which made new solid shapes for children to repurpose into imaginary objects to use in play.
