Well, this weekend was the long awaited Nursery World Awards! It was a fabulous event and we were delighted to be recognised in such a large industry such as the early years to be one of the industry leaders.

What a difference the sunshine makes! This week we have been lucky enough to spend our days in t-shirts and shorts, smelling of sun cream and feeling that bit lighter without waterproof coats and trousers!
On the Magpies team this week, we have been planting some wildflower and cress seeds. The children chose to use either their hands or a scoop to get the soil and fill up their pots or recycled tubs.
With the volcano erupting in Iceland over the weekend, this week has been all about volcanoes. The children are fascinated by them and loved watching a video of the lava so naturally we had to make our own.
Spring is definitely springing! We like our children to value their senses and now is a great time to smell, see, hear and feel the awesome changes all around us.
Spring is desperate to show her head as we move towards the meteorological first day tomorrow and we have been celebrating all sorts of events that have occurred this week.
It’s been yet another busy week in the forest this week. We have been busy celebrating St Patrick’s Day and getting ready for our fashion shows raising money for Red Nose Day.
Here at LFF Wandsworth, we like to think we are eco conscious here and whilst we remind children of the importance of looking after the planet regularly, this week’s World Recycling Day was as good a time as any to continue the message.
