Government funded hours
What funding is available to me?
15 hours Universal entitlement:
All 3 and 4 year old children are able to access 570 hours of entitlement hours funded by the Government and you do not require an eligibility code to access this. This funding can be stretched to cover an all year round space at Little Forest Folk (51 weeks per year).
30 hour Working Parent Entitlement (15 universal & 15 additional hours for 3&4 year olds):
Working parents of children from 9 months - 4 years old are able to obtain a total of 30 hours of funded childcare per week provided that they meet certain eligibility criteria. This funding can be stretched to cover an all year round space at Little Forest Folk (51 weeks per year).
For more information and to apply for your eligibility code, please see the Best Start in Life Website.
You will need to apply for and obtain your eligibility code by the last day of the month before the new term begins (by 31st December for Spring term funding, 31st March for Summer term funding & 31st August for Autumn term funding), you will then be required to re-validate your code via your childcare account every 3 months.

Three sessions a week will ensure you receive your 15 hours (stretched to 11.18 hours per week) and six sessions a week will ensure you receive your 30 hours (stretched to 22.35 funded hours per week, 51 weeks of the year) (or 47.5/95 hours per month). Any additional hours provided outside of the funded hours are charged at our additional hours/full price rates as detailed in the tables below.
15 hours entitlement
We offer the 15 entitlement hours funded by the Government applied as a stretched offering over 51 weeks of the year.
We offer up to 570 hours per year, which equates to 11.18 hours per week over 51 weeks of the year. This can be allocated to x2 days per week.
30 hours entitlement
We offer the 30 entitlement hours funded by the Government applied as a stretched offering over 51 weeks of the year.

What does the Funding include?
The Government only funds the delivery of EYFS in the funded hours attended, (except for families in receipt of the 15 hour funding for 2-year-olds who receive additional support).
What does the Funding not include?
All food and snacks. The wonderful team at Two Teaspoons Cookery provides our delicious and nutritional food offerings to keep little ones healthy and energised for their days in the forest.
All other consumables such as nappies, wipes, protective clothing, protective creams etc.
Any additional activities the nursery provides over and above the delivery of EYFS - this includes our forest nursery activities which are interwoven throughout our days and everything we have in place to be able to offer these as part of our unique nursery offering, including specialised equipment and tools, bespoke staff training, and our 1:4 staffing ratio.
Any additional hours and sessions required over and above the funded hours
These excluded items are charged at a set rate per funded hour as detailed in the table below, but are voluntary and any families wishing to opt out of any of these categories can ask for further information and costings via info@littleforestfolk.com.
I would like to have all activities, food and consumables provided during my funded hours, how much will this cost?
Your 15 or 30 hour entitlement will be provided free at the point of delivery. Any items or activities not covered by the government funding are voluntary and charged at the rates in the table below, as well as the additional hours rate for any additional hours provided on the same day but outside the entitlement hours funded by the Government.

MY CHILD ATTENDS ANOTHER SETTING. CAN I CLAIM THE Funding ENTITLEMENT AT BOTH SETTINGS?
Yes, as long as the combined total is no more than your total allowance, and the hours you claim with Little Forest Folk are no more than the hours set out in our policy. You must complete a Parental Contract form for each provider and you must declare the hours you are claiming at each setting.
If you have further questions or would like to obtain a parent funding form then please contact info@littleforestfolk.com
WORKPLACE BENEFIT SCHEME
If you are employed by a company or are an employee of your own business, then you could be significantly better off by using workplace nursery benefit to pay your nursery fees. Little Forest Folk are now working with Enjoy Benefits to offer this to families.
Enjoy Benefits doesn’t just work for parents - the partnership means your employer makes a contribution to the nursery to be used for its running and upkeep, which they recoup through reduced National Insurance payments
So you benefit, your nursery benefits and it costs your employer nothing!
You can find more information about Enjoy Benefits on our website here.
