Our Week in the Forest
Hello everyone! We’ve made it to another Friday, which means we’re one week closer to the beautiful spring ahead! 🌼
This week, we’ve continued focusing on our adventures in physical development. One exciting activity that kept everyone busy was filling a gardening tub with sticks collected from around the forest. Once the tub was full, the children pulled on a rope to hoist it up to the trees above them.
We also reintroduced the hammock to our forest this week, which has been a great way to encourage turn-taking and patience. It’s been so nice to see the children relaxing and enjoying some peaceful moments in the hammock.
Another fun project we did was making Valentine’s Day cards! First, we used potato stamps shaped like flowers, hearts, and stars to create colorful prints. The children then made "berry" cute cards with handprints to give to their mums and dads. 🍓
We also brought back the slack line! It’s been a while since we’ve had it in the forest, and it’s been fantastic to see how it challenges the children to balance and hold themselves steady on the wobbly line.
We wrapped up our week with a lovely adventure walk around the common, exploring the outdoors together.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend filled with love as we celebrate Valentine’s Day! 💌
