Our Week in the Forest!
The weather this week has been much warmer which has been very welcome with the children as we have now been able to get the water play back into the mud kitchen! This has meant more cups of ‘fire tea’ than the educators can cope with!
This week has also been the start of caterpillar season… they are everywhere! All different shapes, sizes and colours. Our little explorers have enjoyed seeing them so much that we have ordered some caterpillars for the indoor nursery.
Our theme this week has been Space and Jordan has been sharing his knowledge, as well as everyone enjoying an activity which involved using string to measure the distance between the planets and to give a distance comparison.
Wednesday’s weather was very windy, it was fun to watch the trees wave backward and forwards. We had a lot of giggles pretending it was almost blowing us away! A highlight for the children has been making ice lollies in the sun... it’s been such a big hit that they want to make more next week!
Hope you have all had a fun time this week, we are looking forward to the next one!
