Wimbledon - Christmas Songs & Dancing

Our Week in the Forest

As we draw closer to Christmas the forest has become a hive of festive activity!

The children have been enjoying listening to lots of Christmas songs this week, showing off their amazing dance moves! We have created magic wands that then became drum sticks and microphones to complete our performances. The children used glittery pipe cleaners and bells to create their magic wands so we could hear the ringing of the bells as they banged on the drums. Then, a mini stage was created using logs and a plank of wood where our little performers could stand up and sing to their hearts content!

We have also been helping our bird friends in the forest by making bird feeders. Using the inside of a toilet roll we made holes to attach string to hang it up. Then we mixed bird seed and vegetable suet to create a delicious concoction for the birds to enjoy. After they had been hung up, we then sat back and watched as our little robin friends feasted on the treats!

To enjoy the festive season we have also enjoyed lots of fake snow activities, making train tracks in the snow and looking at prints in the snow. We had to guess whose feet the tracks belonged to as well as creating a long track for a festive train!

Such a lovely run up to the Christmas period, have a fab weekend!!
