Our Week in the Forest
Happy Friday everyone! We hope you all enjoyed the lovely bank holiday weekend and had a great short week back. ☀️
This week at Little Forest Folk Morden, we have been focusing on our little ones physical development through a range of fun and engaging activities. Alongside many other experiences that supported both their fine and gross motor skills, one of our favourite activities was our threading station, which gave the children the opportunity to refine their fine motor skills. Using child-friendly needles, wool, and a variety of felt materials, they explored threading in a safe, engaging and creative way.
Another activity that supported larger movements was our large-scale painting activity. We attached paintbrushes to branches, encouraging the children to stretch up high and reach the very top of the paper. We loved watching their creativity shine through in the colourful paint streaks and unique patterns they created.
We’ve had such a wonderful week and are excited to enjoy more of the beautiful May spring weather next week. Have a lovely weekend everyone! ☀️
