Morden - Weaving Vines and Leafy Branches

Hello from Little Forest Folk Morden! This week has been all about Physical Development and welcoming in our holiday campers for the summer.

On Monday, we set up some Eric Carle inspired painting on big sheets of brown paper taped down to the gazebo floor. The children then had brooms dipped in paint which they could paint along the paper with striking blue and black paint. Afterwards, we hung the finished pieces in and around the gazebo to make our own forest art gallery and it made for a really cosy lunch time.

This week the children have also enjoyed weaving vines and leafy branches on our giant nature loom in the back, a busy morning was spent gathering and creating their own natural fabric.

We also had an amazing obstacle course set up where our little adventurers jumped through hoops, crawled under a net and practiced their throwing skills! As well as this, we’ve picked countless blackberries and have enjoyed these as part of our afternoon snack this week!

Another wonderful week, ‘til next time!
