Our Week in the Forest
Happy Friday, everyone! ✨
The festive spirit has definitely arrived at Morden this week. We’ve taken our focus of the week and added a touch of Christmas wherever we could 🎄
One of our highlights was an afternoon spent decorating Christmas ornaments. Our little explorers created their own designs using lots of colour and added their Christmas wishes to our little tree. It has brought such a cheerful atmosphere to our hall and we’re looking forward to adding more throughout December! 🎄
Another wonderful activity was making reindeer headbands. Using ribbons, paper and colourful pens, the children created unique designs, Dasher and Dancer may need to make room for our very own forest reindeers this year!✨
We also introduced a new textured play-dough made with raisins and carrot sticks. It was lovely to see where their imagination took them: snowmen, robots, unicorns and even Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas made an appearance.✨
Our small world area has transformed into the North and South Poles, it has been extremely popular. Our Little Forest Folk-ers have enjoyed learning all about penguins, polar bears and their icy habitats.❄️
We are ending the week with the first half of our Christmas party, celebrating with our wonderful parents and explorers.
We hope you’ve had a joyful start to December and we look forward to continuing the festivities next week! 🎄✨
