Wimbledon Village - Stay and Play Mornings

We have had a glorious run of Stay and Play sessions, with family members coming to visit us every morning this week. This has been the ideal scenario for children to use their growing communication and language skills, as they welcomed their guests with songs, explained the rules of the forest and showed the grown ups around camp. It was wonderful to see such precious interactions between children and their loved ones! Our Little Forest Folk-ers absolutely loved having guests and those whose family came to play were proud to have introduced their loved ones to their friends and educators.

Some of the many activities, initiated by the children themselves, and shared with visitors at Stay and Play included:

🥁Music-making and forming multi-instrumental bands
🏰Construction of castles, home corners and dens
⚽️Huge, camp-wide games of chase, football, and hide and seek
🛒Shopping at supermarkets, serving meals (mud-based) in cafes and restaurants
🍦Taking (mud-based) ice cream orders from grown ups
📚…as well as LOTS of sharing of stories together in the book nook and on all the logs around the camp!

We hope those of you who came to our Stay and Play sessions this week enjoyed them as much as we enjoyed having you!

Have a fantastic weekend and see you again next week!
