This week has been yet another week of all the seasons in one day! We have used this as a great opportunity to help the children get lots of practice to get ready for school. Putting on their own puddle suits, taking them off and putting them back on again. We have also explained to the children about the importance of wearing hats and keeping out of the sun as it can make you sick, following on from this many of our Little Forest Folk-ers have also asked to walk back in the shade.
Sadly one of our little explorers has had a loss of a pet this week and has been speaking about the feeling of loss they are experiencing. The rest of our little ones have done their best to support them by listening and talking about emotions with them. Using the zones of regulation and stories from the educators has helped explore this too.
This week has seen a big return to lots of water play and messy play, the sounds of mixing and splashing have filled the forest. Jordan also led an activity this week themed around den building and adventure which saw the children make armour, shields and castles.
What fun we have all had this week, looking forward to next week!
