Happy New Year and welcome back to LFF Barnes!
 
What an eventful start back to life in the forest this week! The new year may have brought gale force winds, but this hasn't stopped the children being excited to see their friends after the Christmas break.

This week in the forest we have had some wonderful muddy adventures!
In the mornings, many of the children radio Tom to tell him what they would like set up. Recently the children have been requesting pulley systems to help transport the lovely, sticky mud around in their makeshift kitchens.

This week we have had some wonderfully wintry weather. From sleet and snow driving down all day on Monday to crisp frosty mornings with ice puddles. 
 

We took clay, paints, crayons, card, twine, scissors and tape into the forest and the children used these resources to make and create their own wonderful pieces of art. With the clay, the children experimented with different ways of manipulating and moulding.

As the crisp cold mornings of winter become more frequent and the days get shorter the children at Little Forest Folk Barnes carry on as if nothing has changed. The only thing they now need is an extra few layers of clothing, some warm gloves and a good hat!
