Roar! The dinosaurs have returned into Fishpond Woods this week. The children decided early in the week that they were “going to the past” and imagined themselves as little dinosaurs hatching from their eggs.

Building has, again, been a major draw for the Little Forest Folk this week and we’ve had some interesting new additions to the forest’s equipment. Firstly, with the help of a parent, a house was constructed in the middle of the meadow using all of the available resources, even things that the grown ups hadn’t seen!

Fixing, carrying, stacking, pushing: building has been a very important activity for all of the little forest folk this week. It has encouraged some wonderful teamwork with 6 or more children working altogether to lift a pallet over to an unfinished pirate ship!

Autumn leaves everywhere and a glut of acorns. The children have been fascinated with these little brown and green seeds and this week has seen great scavenger hunts to find as many acorns as possible.
