This week in Barnes, we have been enjoying the beautiful autumnal sunshine. We’ve had some fantastic adventures this week, collecting different coloured autumn leaves along with throwing sticks into the river to test whether they will float or sink.

Things have been getting spooky this week at Barnes! On the morning of Halloween, all of the trees were covered in huge spider webs and we discovered that a giant spider had visited our forest.

This week our little adventurers have enjoyed the company of old friends as some of our alumni returned for holiday camps. It was wonderful to see the excitement as the children’s faces lit up once reunited and they wandered off together as if no time had passed.

This week at Barnes we had our Stay and Play week which is such a lovely opportunity for parents to join their children for some forest fun! We all spent our mornings; playing, reading, climbing, building, singing and even dancing around. We could see the smiles on the faces of parents as they enjoyed their time immersed in nature too.
