With this August being a cooler summer than usual, the ideas around fun in the forest have been brighter than the midday sun. The week started off chilly, with almost a damp feel in the air, so Educator Sam decided it would be a great idea to have a campfire.
Wimbledon - Painting strawberries
Chiswick - All things bright and beautiful!
Fulham - enthusiasm and confidence
Morden - creating our bug village
Putney Heath - A week of B’s: Blackberries, boats, bubble wands...
We ended a fantastically creative week with some incredible rain, which of course provided us with some perfect puddles for us to jump in. The children had great fun running around the forest and the cricket pitch finding different puddles for them all to jump in and together we noticed that some puddles were bubbling.
Twickenham - arts and craft activities
Wandsworth - dinosaurs that roared with glee
This week saw the creation of one of the best dinosaur dioramas we have ever seen, using entirely natural materials. We particularly enjoyed seeing how a team of around six children of all ages played so well together, communicating ideas, and sharing resources in a way that amplified fun and engagement for all.
