Putney Heath - A Touch of Magic

Our week in the forest

We are thrilled to share the enchanting adventures your little ones embarked on this week in the forest. Our days were filled with creativity, laughter and learning.

Crafting Magic Wands
After a lot of interest in fairytales, our week began with a touch of magic as the children set out to create their own mystical wands. With excitement in their eyes, they gathered sticks scattered across the forest floor. Each child then selected vibrant strings and ribbons, wrapping them around the sticks with great care and creativity. It was heartwarming to see them take pride in crafting their very own magic wands, eager to spread enchantment everywhere.

Energetic Play and Dance
The children also delighted in playing the traffic light game, a whirlwind of energy as they raced around Robin Camp. They learned to stop and start with the changing lights, from green to red and back to yellow, enhancing their listening and coordination skills.

Our camp was filled with joyous melodies as we danced along to our favourite Christmas hits and tunes from Bluey. Our little explorers enjoyed showing off their dance moves, sharing laughter and joy with friends.

A Journey to the Library
After a delightful picnic snack under the sun's warm rays, we embarked on a journey to one of our favourite places - the library! As we marched along, the children sang a lively marching song, stamping their feet and counting steps. Engaging in conversations about what stories they wanted to read fuelled their anticipation.

Upon arrival, each child proudly presented their well-cared-for library books to the librarian, who was impressed by their responsible handling. It was a moment that highlighted their growing love for books and stories.

Afternoon Adventures
Our afternoon was a celebration of creativity and play. On our garden day, the children crafted a frosty winter scene using foam snow on a lake of milky blue water, capturing the essence of winter's beauty. They also enjoyed a spirited game of pumpkin ring toss and transformed a crate into Santa's sleigh, complete with a comfy blanket and a telephone to call the elves for emergencies. Their imaginative play was a delight to witness.

Thank you for continually entrusting us with your children's magical journey in the forest. It was a week filled with wonder and we look forward to many more enchanting experiences together!
