What a week it’s been in the forest! Between sunshine, rain and even a thunderstorm, our little explorers showed endless energy, imagination and resilience as they played, created and discovered together.

What a fantastic week it has been at Little Forest Folk Putney! Even with the coats coming on and off throughout the day, our Little Forest Folk-ers embraced every moment - rain, mud and all!

What a brilliant return to the forest after the bank holiday - it’s been full of adventure, treasures and creativity! With a mix of sunshine and showers, our Little Forest Folk-ers embraced the weather and made the most of every moment.

One morning, the camp turned into a birdwatching hide. The children used real ranger tools - binoculars, a compass and a map of Putney Heath - while discussing how each could help them explore.

It’s been a week full of sunshine, stories and seaside fun here in the forest! Our Little Forest Folk-ers have been brimming with creativity, imagination and plenty of giggles as they explored new tales. 

We began the week with a special request from the children - stories about dinosaurs and dragons! These fantastical creatures inspired incredible storytelling sessions!

Our creative corner was as busy as ever! The children made fantastic chickens from recycled materials - there were feathers, googly eyes and lots of laughter!

We kicked things off with the magical transformation of butterflies! The children learned all about the stages of life - from caterpillars to chrysalis to beautiful butterflies. Using textured materials like pipe cleaners, fabrics and lolly sticks, they crafted their own fluttery friends.

Another exciting week has passed in our little woodland and what a brilliant one it was! From wild cooking to flower hammering and sensory play to heartfelt goodbyes, our little explorers have been busy learning and creating. 

It’s been another joyful week here in our little woodland! With sunshine through the trees and plenty of splashing and laughter, our little learners explored big ideas - self-care, growing up, and caring for both themselves and the forest around them!

Our Little Forest Folk-ers were busy making eco-friendly choices too! After reading 'Why Do We Need Bees?' they were inspired to create tiny bee habitat starters using recycled toilet rolls. The children loved the idea of helping our buzzing friends and proudly placed their creations around Putney Heath, hoping some local bees might move in soon.

On Tuesday, we explored the zones of regulation, a tool we use every day to support emotional literacy. This time, we brought the concept to life in a bigger way, transforming the camp into a multi-zoned sensory space:
