Morden - A Week Full of Patterns ⭐️

Our Week in the Forest

Happy Friday everyone! We hope you’ve all had a wonderful week. At Little Forest Folk Morden, our focus has been on developing mathematical skills and exploring how our little ones can create patterns through play! ✨

During our adventure walks, our explorers gathered an abundance of leaves in all different sizes, shapes and colours. Back in the forest, they used their collections to form patterns and design their very own caterpillars. It was amazing to watch the unique sequences they each created! ✨

Continuing with our theme of patterns and arrangements, one afternoon we introduced a musical sequencing activity. The children matched coloured notes on paper to the keys on a xylophone, creating their own melodies with such focus and excitement. ✨

Another highlight of the week was transforming our mud kitchen into a variety of shops from a toy shop to a food shop! The children loved reusing food packaging for their imaginative role play, practising counting with play money and matching prices to products. Such creative learning through play! ✨

Everyone in the forest has had a fantastic week, enjoying the sunshine and the crisp autumn air that has truly brought the season to life.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend and can’t wait for more adventures next week! ⭐️
