Our Week in the Forest
What a glorious week in the forest we have had. Our site in the Arboretum is covered in bluebells with some already out in bloom and some we are eagerly waiting to pop open with colour.
There is the most lovely tree on our site which is just perfect for tree climbing. There, children have been using their gross motor skills to climb up and then lay in the tree pretending to be all sorts of animals.
To continue our story telling focus this week, our Little Forest Folk-ers have enjoyed some wonderful dressing up. It was lovely to see some of the children dress as butterflies and reenact The Hungry Caterpillar story that we looked at last week.
We also had an Easter fun morning 🐣 All our lovely families came down and joined in meeting the team and taking part in some fun Easter activities. The children loved our sensory, natural easter egg pattern activity. Using fallen petals, leaves and moss they had a great time decorating their projects to create the pattern on the picture, as well as using cinnamon and other spices to add a little something extra! We also had an Easter egg hunt - there were so many different colours to find and inside was a lovely Easter surprise of some Easter stickers to take home.
Next week we are planning lots more Easter fun, we can’t wait to see you all then!
