Our Week in the Forest

This week the weather has thrown all the seasons at us! Cold, wet, hail and sun! Not to worry, this weather has been great for us to carry on with our growing projects!

On one of our outings we walked to the village to purchase some potatoes to plant. On the way there we took some time to enjoy a lovely snack on the bench whilst watching all the wildlife on the pond. We then took it in turns to feed the ducks, swans and geese whilst discussing the differences between them all.

One day this week we had an adventure down to the river where we raced leaves down the stream that has now transformed into a ‘raging river’ whisking away all in its path.

Time has been a big focus this week. Our Little Forest Folk-ers enjoyed using the play dough and cutters to make their own clock. One little one enjoyed it so much she brought in a special book to share with everyone which helps explain time even further.

At one of the circle times this week Utopia came back from a home visit with some rhubarb in hand - we all tried it to very mixed reactions - it seems Jordan was the only one who didn’t pull a face!
