Chiswick - Making and Tasting Ice Lollies!

We've had another exciting week full of creativity, exploration, and fun at nursery!

Creative Marble Art
The children enjoyed creating beautiful marble art pictures. By rolling marbles through paint, they explored colours, patterns, and movement while developing their fine motor skills. Every masterpiece was unique and full of imagination!

Graduation Key Rings
As our graduation celebrations approach, the children have been busy making special key rings to commemorate their time at nursery. They took great pride in creating these keepsakes and enjoyed talking about their exciting transition to school.

Exploring Emotions in the Mud Kitchen
Our mud kitchen became a space for emotional learning this week. Using natural materials such as leaves, sticks, stones, and flowers, the children created different emotion faces. This encouraged conversations about feelings and helped the children recognise and express a range of emotions.

Water Gun Fun
With the warmer weather, the children had lots of fun cooling down with water guns outdoors. They practised taking turns, aiming at targets, and enjoyed active play while staying refreshed.

Making and Tasting Ice Lollies
Our Little Forest Folk-ers became little chefs as they helped make delicious ice lollies using an apple and banana smoothie mixture. They discussed healthy ingredients, observed the freezing process, and thoroughly enjoyed tasting their homemade treats!

Drama and Emotions
During our drama sessions, we focused on emotions through movement and expression. The children practised posing and freezing as different emotion faces, helping them build confidence, communication skills, and emotional understanding.

Playing Schools
Role play has been very popular this week! The children enjoyed pretending to be teachers, taking their friends to school and signing them in using a keyboard. This imaginative play supported early literacy, technology skills, and conversations about starting school.

Adventure Walks by the River
Our adventure walks around the river provided wonderful opportunities to explore the natural environment. The children observed wildlife, discussed what they could see and hear, and enjoyed being active outdoors while developing their curiosity about the world around them.

Thank you for your continued support. We hope you have a wonderful weekend.
