What a wonderful week we've had filled with adventure, creativity, and lots of learning!
This week, our friends took part in a Mathematics Ladybug Treasure Hunt! The ladybugs had lost their spots and the children had to use their mathematical knowledge to find them. Using clues such as "I'm on something rectangular," they explored the environment, searched high and low and worked together to solve the mystery. It was a fantastic way to bring maths to life through play and exploration!
In our small world area, we enjoyed creating scenes inspired by The Worst Princess ️ Alongside this, the children became character designers and used wooden people to create their very own characters. With ribbons for clothes and markers for faces and hair, their imaginations truly shone! Some children carefully made members of their families, while others created themselves, sharing stories and ideas as they worked.
As always we decided to make the rain our friend this week! Instead of hiding away from the wet weather, we embraced it and had lots of fun splashing through puddles. The children even helped create a special splash area at the front of our forest, where laughter and muddy boots were in abundance! ️
We were also lucky enough to celebrate one of our friends' birthdays this week! Everyone gathered together to sing a big Happy Birthday, helping them to feel extra special. To finish the celebration, all of the children got to take a little piece of cake home with them to enjoy. ️
It's been another week full of learning, creativity, friendship and outdoor adventures, and we can't wait to see what next week brings!
That's all from us at Little Forest Folk Morden this week! Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
