Morden - A chicken full week πŸ₯

We have been in the second week of our time with our little hatchlings. They have brought so much joy and happiness to our forest these last two weeks and we have savoured all the cuddles we can get. ✨

With that in mind, we have done lots of activities relating to our chicks. One activity that we continued from last week was paper machΓ©. We used a balloon, PVA glue and some old newspaper to make our own giant egg. The process of this was really fun & exciting for our explorers as it was something new and hands-on for them to try.

Another lovely activity we have enjoyed are some worksheets, which have gone hand in hand with our school readiness activities. We have explored dot to dot, colouring in & many others!

As well as all the lovely chick related activities, gardening has continued to be a trend within the forest. This week our little ones have created their own planter patch to grow some new seeds. They started by turning the area to loosen the soil & then picked out all the sticks and leaves. Next, they marked out the area with some boundary branches & then laid down some fresh soil on top, ready for planting. It turned out so well and it’s definitely inspired us to make some more planter patches soon!

We hope your week has been as wonderful as ours β˜€οΈπŸ₯✨
