Morden - Biggest Leaves Ever!

Happy Friday Everyone! This week at Little Forest Folk Morden our adventurers have had so much fun!

If there’s one thing they love, it’s water play and with the sun being on overtime this week, we made sure we had lots of water to play with. One of our favourite activities was when we brought the hose out and had a massive ‘rainfall’. What made this more magical was that due to the sunlight, little rainbows shone through the water over our little explorers’ heads while jumping around.

With the weather as beautiful as it has been, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to go on an adventure walk. So in the morning, our adventurers set off to Cannon Hill Common with Migs and Joe. As always they had a fantastic time, spotting thousands of butterflies and heard the grasshoppers buzzing away as they ran through the grass.

On this walk, they identified lots of different leaves & even found the ‘biggest leaves ever’ on the ground, which they brought back to our little forest. We then used those leaves to create some beautiful prints, using paints and rollers. These prints were so unique and each one came out wonderfully!

Glitter has been very popular with us in Little Forest Folk Morden over the past two weeks, we have made lots of different glittery crafts, but the favourite has been gemstones. Using rocks found around the forest, our now jewellers dipped them in some PVA glue and then dipped them in different glitters to represent different stones; Green for emeralds; Blue for Sapphires and Red for Rubies etc.

So, that was our ultimate fun week, we hope everyone enjoyed the sunshine and blue skies as well!

We hope you have a wonderful weekend & summer solstice.
