Even with a shorter week and some of our sessional friends away, the forest was full of holiday camper joy! Our Little Forest Folk-ers dove into this week’s theme: “Things That Go!” - and go they certainly did!
The week kicked off with a splash (literally!) as the little ones braved the pouring rain with big smiles and even bigger imaginations. With puddles underfoot and tarps overhead, nothing could stop their enthusiasm. Our eco-conscious explorers got hands-on with recycled materials, using their creativity to build all sorts of vehicles. From airplanes soaring through the trees to helicopters whirling above our muddy paths, the forest was transformed into a busy hub of motion.
Midweek brought a bubbly surprise! The forest educators turned camp into a full-blown car wash. With washcloths, water, and mountains of foam, the little ones gleefully scrubbed their toy cars until they sparkled. Who knew cleaning could be such fun?
To wrap up the week, our Little Forest Folk-ers set off on a gentle adventure through the Heath. They visited the pond, where they delighted in feeding ducks and geese, watching them waddle and paddle about. The children were so caring and gentle - true forest friends to the local fauna.
We loved welcoming our holiday campers and can’t wait to see what the next forest-filled week brings!
