Putney Heath - Little Heroes!

This week, our forest was filled with heroes big and small as our Little Forest Folk-ers stepped into the shoes of the community helpers who keep our world turning! From fighting fires to caring for animals - it’s been a week full of kindness, teamwork and playful learning.

The week began with sirens and excitement as our little ones suited up as firefighters, saving the day around camp with hoses (aka sticks!) and putting out fires in every corner of the woods. Their energy and teamwork were truly inspiring - and the forest has never felt safer!

Next, our forest turned into a wildlife sanctuary! The children became zookeepers and vets, tending to both pretend and real forest creatures with care and compassion. With bandages, first-aid kits and plenty of cuddles, even the sickest Gruffalo (and educators!) were soon back on their feet thanks to our kind-hearted caregivers.

Midweek, we took a little detour from our theme to check in on our beloved eco project. The children were thrilled to look at the map and rediscover where Shadow the tiger lives. With big excitement (and great detail), they created a passport for his upcoming journey to America! This sparked brilliant conversations about travel, passports and all the summer holidays to come.

Between all their important duties, our little helpers tackled plenty of physical challenges. From den-building to ladder-making, they were climbing, lifting and collaborating all week long. And the latest camp favourite? The tyre swing! It’s been the source of giggles, bravery and lots of turn-taking.

It’s been another wonderful week, jam-packed with fun and creativity. Have a brilliant weekend and we’ll see you next week!
