Another most awesome week has come to a close in the Fulham forest. We started off the week by creating a great structure that the children (with assistance) could practise their jumping skills on, jumping from what could only be described as a diving board, of course having some safety talks beforehand, to make sure we all knew how to do this safely.
Morden - Seeds, Scissors & Cinnamon!
Putney Heath - Bug Hunting
We have had a wonderful week in the forest. Our Little Forest Folk-ers have revelled in bug hunting! Everyone has spent time carefully rolling logs over and identifying slugs, wood lice, spiders and bright green crickets. We’ve searched under leaves for insect eggs and found ladybird larvae and spiderlings.
Twickenham - Sensory Week
This week we’ve had lots of sensory fun! Our week started with a sensory walkway where our little adventurers were encouraged to take off their shoes and step into boxes containing a whole host of wonderful textures: leaves, water and sand to name a few. They loved kicking off their wellies and feeling the sand between their toes.
Wandsworth - An Arrow Hunt!
Wimbledon - Hairdressers, Doctors and Dentists
Chiswick - Exploring Space!
Fulham - A Unicorn called Flossy!
Morden - A Professional Race!
Putney Heath - An Adventure to the Pond!
Twickenham - Celebrating Superheroes!
Wandsworth - Adventure Walks & Playing with Rocks!
We had a wonderfully sunny start this week at Paradise. Collectively, the children love climbing in the trees, grasping and stepping between the branches. Some pretending to be monkeys, with others being sloths. There's never a dull moment. At the crafts table, our educators Maria and Kate busily helped many of the children to make some exquisite fox masks. The children were only too happy to get involved with the scissors and glue!
