We have enjoyed a very autumnal-feeling week here in the forest. In Paradise, the children noticed how the leaves were starting to change colour and enjoyed running around trying to find as many different coloured leaves as they could.

The beauty of a child led style of education is that so many different things determine the direction of the learning – it may be a particular book the children are interested in, a picture of someone on their holidays, a TV programme or the weather.

As the changing of term continues it has been very sad to say goodbye to some our long serving forest friends, but we are excited to see how they take the school world by storm using their natural communication, expression and problem-solving skills that have been so carefully nurtured and developed through their time with us here at Little Forest Folk Wandsworth.

It’s been lovely to see lots of our Little Forest Folk-ers back again and they took no time in getting stuck straight back in to life in the forest.
