Our Week in the Forest
The rainy days have arrived, but that didn’t stop our Little Forest Folk-ers from having a wonderful week full of creativity, exploration and adventure! The children embraced the wet weather with smiles and excitement, turning every puddle and raindrop into part of the fun.
As the rain began to fall, we got creative and made our very own snails! Using snail-shaped clay and tiny pine cones, the children carefully placed the cones right in the middle to form the snail’s shell. It was lovely to see how engaged they were, creating their little creatures while chatting together.
Even when the rain got heavier, our little explorers didn’t mind one bit. They carried on with their usual routine in the mud kitchen, mixing up muddy concoctions and cooking up “soups” and “cakes” made from water, soil and plenty of imagination.
Our creative streak continued as we made beautiful necklaces and bracelets using colourful pipe cleaners and beads. The children threaded the beads carefully, designing unique patterns and proudly showing off their creations. Using leaves we had collected we also made adorable foxes with fluffy pom-pom noses!
During our meadow exploration, we gathered shiny chestnuts and counted them all, practicing our counting skills while enjoying the treasures we found. On another adventure walk, we even discovered where the Gruffalo lives!
Thanks for another amazing week everyone!
