Morden - ⭐️ Water, Air and Sunlight!” 🎶

Our Week in the Forest

Happy Friday everyone! 🌸

We have had such a lovely start to half term, with some familiar faces returning, it’s been so nice to see everyone again!

Our focus this week has been Understanding the World and we’ve been busy exploring through lots of hands-on activities. We’ve done plenty of planting and taken a closer look at natural phenomena, sparking lots of curiosity and excitement.

One of our activities was Blossoming Flowers. We made our own paper flowers, carefully folded their petals and then placed them in water to watch them slowly open up like real blossoms 🌸 It was such a magical moment! During this, we also learned about photosynthesis and even picked up a new song: “If you want to know how a plant grows, it takes water, air and sunlight!” 🎶

Another highlight of the week was planting our very own sunflower seeds 🌻. Each of our adventurers got to take home their own to plant in their gardens and nurture into big, beautiful flowers, we can’t wait to see & hear how they grow!

Carrying on from last week, our little ones have loved building and developing our bug hotel. We’ve been checking in regularly to see if we have any new visitors and our bug of the week has definitely been the millipede! We’ve spotted quite a few and have all been fascinated watching them explore their new home.

That’s all from us at Little Forest Folk Morden this week, we hope you all have a wonderful Easter Bank Holiday! 🐣💐
