WE PASSIONATELY BELIEVE THAT CHILDREN SHOULD BE OUTDOORS AND HAVING FUN IN NATURE AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE.
"I have no doubt whatsoever that the children, when they look back in later life, will realise how valuable and impactful their time with you has been." - Sir David Attenborough
At Little Forest Folk, we passionately believe that children should be outdoors and having fun in nature as often as possible. Our aim is to provide a safe and secure childcare setting that addresses the increasing disconnect between children and nature.
We are London’s first full time outdoor nursery for 2-5 year olds, situated in magical sites where children’s imaginations are free to run wild. We want to offer this generation the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful outdoors childhood that many of us were fortunate enough to have experienced.
We care for and educate children aged from 2 to 5. We follow the core Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, and incorporate learning in an outdoor environment where free play, fresh air, exposure to the natural world and physical activity are an integral part of learning.
Our outdoor forest settings are located in Wimbledon and Chiswick. Our Wimbledon site is set within a fully fenced nature reserve in Wimbledon and contains an 8 metre geodesic dome for shelter. Here children are able to play freely whilst learning and engaging with nature. Our forest setting is a fully fenced woodland meadow and contains open grassland, woods and marshes with an array of wildlife including rabbits, moles, squirrels, frogs, insects and birds.
Our Chiswick nursery is based in the beautiful urban forest within Chiswick House and Gardens. We operate using different areas of the garden each day and integrate learning with the amazing grounds, animals and mini-beasts on offer!
The forest settings are complemented by our registered premises, the 19th Wimbledon Scout Hut and the Piccolo Play Cafe in Chiswick. Both sites have a outdoor areas attached to the indoor provision, where children have the freedom to move, explore, play and learn.
Summer camps are fully booked.
