Chiswick - Springtime Continues!

Mini Beast Discoveries
The children have been busy making discoveries in the forest. They’ve been using magnifying glasses to look at the different parts of snails, ladybirds, millipedes and centipedes. We counted their legs and eyes and talked about their sizes using words like ‘smaller’ and ‘bigger’.

Kitchen Garden Adventures
The children went on an adventure walk and stopped off at the kitchen gardens. We spoke to a friendly gardener who told us all about the herbs growing there and we got to rub our hands against the mint to be able to smell it better. We were also taken to the berry bushes where we got to see all the different berries growing.

Mini Orchestra
Our forest orchestra was back in full flow this week. We played maracas, shakers and tambourines. We took turns to play the part of the conductor, instructing our friends when to play the instruments and making sure they played in time.

Digging for Dinosaurs
We became expert excavators in the forest this week. We dug and carved through mud and clay using different tools to find dinosaur remains. We talked about different dinosaurs and what they ate when they roamed the earth.

Police for the Day
We had our very own law enforcement team in the forest to fight crime and keep everyone safe. The children dressed up as police officers and built their very own police car. Some of our educators even took a trip to jail!

Wishing you an amazing weekend!
