Morden - Little Forest Folk Pizzeria!

What a busy week we've had in the forest!!

So many cool activities, featuring one of our favourites, the adventure walk up to Canon Hill Common! The children made their way up to the woodland and really enjoyed exploring the wild space. Our Little Forest Folk-ers were given an activity where they would hunt for cool treasures, and count how many things they had found onto the number pages. It's always a pleasure to see how much the children love our adventures!

Another activity we enjoyed this week has been making our own porridge! The children joined us at the fire circle to measure out the ingredients needed, and watch the change in the ingredients as they got all warm and gooey! When the porridge was all warm, the children would take their cups over to the 'topping station' where they made their own flavourful choices! From cocoa, banana, cinnamon, honey and raisins! They were so independent with the buffet-style and made some delicious treats!

Another great activity we had was Morden's own Pizzeria! The children would get to work in our little restaurant to decorate the cardboard pizzas, pop them in the ‘oven’, and answer the phone calls of all the eager orders coming in from the educators! The children soon moved onto using different materials, like a plank of wood for a 'looong pizza!' we loved watching their creativity blossom in this space ✨
