As we edge ever closer to Christmas, we have had another fun filled week in the forest!
We started this week with some Star Wars style role play, this was something that one of our Little Forest Folk-ers requested to play with their friends, so action roles were quickly assigned! Some children were Stormtroopers, with some opting to be “goodies” as Jamie quickly transformed into the worst Darth Vader ever seen!
One of our Stormtroopers wanted to create a lightsaber, so a hunt for the perfect stick began! When we found it, we painted the tip yellow to resemble its flashing colours! This was a fantastic way to scaffold the role play in a forest-friendly kind of way!
On Tuesday afternoon, we had a mini Xmas disco in the Forest, as children danced along to some Christmas classics!
When we arrived back to our indoor space, we decided our Christmas Tree was looking a bit bare, so we worked together to thread on some Christmas lights!
We were delighted with our end result, our tree looks complete!
We went back to our special El Tio log this week, we had to add another layer to make him feel warm, he hasn’t produced any presents for us yet, but we’ll have another look next week!
