Wimbledon - A Colourful Forest!

Another brilliant week at Wimbledon!

We have had a mixture of new and older children coming as holiday campers, and it means it’s a great excuse for our current children to show off their amazing site. It is so lovely to see the pride they take in our space and how much our new children love to explore it.

We have enjoyed a mixture of activities this week with adventure walks happening, blackberries being picked for forest paint and animal face masks being made & decorated using watercolour paints. This has been so enjoyable for everyone and we have had some wonderful things created.

We have also done some great tool work this week. Some of the children did some whittling using potato peelers. They peeled the top layer of bark off of some willow sticks and then decorated them with a variety of paint. We also had some sawing and created some small wooden blocks which became boats. They then were decorated with different colours too, making the forest look so colourful!

There has been a huge mixture of activities and games this week, making for a lot of fun for everyone!!
