Wimbledon - Matching Sticks!

A lovely first week of holiday camp in the forest. We welcomed some new faces to camp as well as rekindling friendships with some previous Little Forest Folk-ers! It was lovely to show everyone around the forest and all it's spring additions!

The children created and carried out a matching game. They choose a variety of long sticks and cut them into equal amounts of the same length. They then painted the ends of the sticks with a range of different colours and once they were dry, they used them to play a game of matching sticks which followed similar rules to dominoes.

We also had a week of pasta threading where everyone had the chance to make necklaces and a parachute party to celebrate some of our friends birthdays! Tree climbing has been a hit too and our little adventurers have enjoyed climbing to new heights to discover the forest from a different angle! We appreciate the growth that spring is bringing us, but the children did notice brambles beginning to grow up so together we carefully pruned these back to allow a safe climbing environment for all!

It’s been a lovely first week of holiday camp and we cannot wait to see what next week brings!
