Government funded hours
What funding is available to me?
Your child is able to access 570 hours of free entitlement hours funded by the Government from the term after their third birthday. This funding can be applied across the school terms (38 weeks per year) or stretched to cover a longer period of the year (51 weeks per year).
Some two-year-olds in England can also get free entitlement hours funded by the Government if they meet certain criteria, found here (www.hounslow.gov.uk/free2)
POLICY AND PROVISION (I.E. HOW MANY HOURS CAN I CLAIM AT LITTLE FOREST FOLK?)
Little Forest Folk are registered on the London Borough of Hounslow Directory of Providers.
We offer the free entitlement hours funded by the Government as part of our sessional day and full day care, applied over either 38 weeks (sessional) or 51 weeks (full day) of the year. We offer up to 570 hours per year, which works out as a maximum of 11.18 per week for full days or 15 hours per week for sessional days, capped at 5 hours per day. We apply a charge for the additional hours outside of the funded hours.
More information is provided below regarding our charges for the additional hours outside the funded entitlement for sessional and full day care.
HOW DO THE FUNDED HOURS AFFECT MY NURSERY FEES?
Your entitlement will be provided free at the point of delivery. As per our policy, Little Forest Folk do, however, charge for the additional hours provided outside the free entitlement hours funded by the Government (see our policy above for the provision of hours as part of full days). The fees for the additional hours are provided in the table below.
Fees incorporating funded hours paid for by the Government - Full Days
|Full Days (per week)||Funded hours available (per week)||Monthly fees*|
FEES INCORPORATING FUNDED HOURS PAID FOR BY THE GOVERNMENT - Sessional Days
|Sessional Days (per week)||Funded hours available (per week)||Weekly fee*|
FEES - Holiday Camps
Funded entitlement is not applicable for holiday camps.
MY CHILD ATTENDS ANOTHER SETTING. CAN I CLAIM THE FREE ENTITLEMENT AT BOTH SETTINGS?
Yes, but as long as the combined total is no more than the hours set out in our policy. You must complete a Parental Contract form for each provider and you must declare the hours you are claiming at each setting.
Free places for two-year-olds
Little Forest Folk also offer a limited number of completely free places for two-year-old children who meet certain eligibility criteria www.hounslow.gov.uk/free2. The child can continue to access these places following their third birthday. We provide a maximum of two sessional or full days per week per child, as long as Little Forest Folk are the only recipient of the child’s free entitlement hours funded by the Government. These places are provided on a first come first served basis.
