Fulham - Necklaces and Bracelets!

Due to a bank holiday it’s been a short but sweet week here in our Fulham forest however that hasn’t stopped our children enjoying all the learning experiences and opportunities that have been created for them here on camp.

We’ve had some great building and climbing structures this week which have allowed our little adventurers to explore and develop their climbing and physical skills.

We have also been working on letter formation, especially with our older children and are proud to say our children are all coming on really well with being able to independently write their own names which is so super to witness!

A great activity took place where the children were able to create and make their own bead necklaces and bracelets, whilst developing on their fine motor skills. Either using pipe cleaners or some coloured string, the children were able to use the coloured beads to create patterns, with some children even creating and making matching bracelets for themselves and their siblings.

A request from one of our children who was spending his last week in the forest before going to big school, inspired a wonderful activity. He had an amazing idea to make a snakes and ladders game to play before he left. Our incredible deputy Donna wanted to make this happen for him, and so created an awesome snakes and ladders board and dice for everyone to enjoy on his last day at camp. This proved super popular, and everyone was eager to participate! It prompted turn-taking, number recognition and counting which meant that it was also a great learning experience for all involved.

We hope you have all had a fantastic week and we will look forward to seeing you all soon for more adventures, fun and learning opportunities on camp.
